We distributed 100 flyers around the neighborhood, inviting them to Celebrate Canada Day with a pancake breakfast or a BBQ in the evening. We had a great turn out for both. The front and the back of the house were beautifully decorated. There were Canadian fact sheets all over the tables for anyone interested and we played the Canadian Anthem and music by Canadian artists in the background.
Our goal for this block party was for the neighbors to mix and mingle and learn a bit about Canada! We played an educational ice breaker game! When the guests arrived, we put a sticker of a famous Canadian person or place on their backs and the guests went around asking other neighbors yes/no questions. The objective of this game was to try and guess who or what they were.
